A container like box perched on a monolithic concrete tectonic brings about minimilsm to the architecture of this low-slung single family home.
The main ground level structure houses the open living spaces, kitchen, scullery and bedroom program arranged in a rectilinear format all with direct contact to the outdoor courtyard space and pool deck with entertainment shelter blurring the indoor to outdoor transition.
Large sliding timber shutter louvres to the front north facing glazed facade creates a sheltered cocoon when in the closed position allowing maximum privacy from the front streetscape to which it faces.
An array of green energy solar panels atop the main lower concrete structure allows for off-grid power generation of the home.
A floating 'container' rests gently on the lower monolith creating a private perched home office / studio that can double as an additional family entertainment space or a private guest suite with framed view of the surrounding leafy neighbourhood from the upper storey balcony.
A double garage seemingly is 'hidden' from street view with the use of rustic horizontal timber cladding on the exterior walls thus softening the hard facade on top of which a green roof garden terrace is found with direct access from the upper level program.
